After alot of discussion it was decided that the piece instead of taking the shape of an installation should be focused into a painting. The installation although an interesting one would require much longer to create an atmosphere which gave both the atmosphere of urban decay and a response to enviroments effected by contemporary drinking culture. The wall we were using for the piece required taking down as the room was being prepared for transformation into a gallery setting.
The area we negotiated with another group that we were able to use was assesed.

It was discussed that the piece should be painted and attached directly to the wall. The wall was measured and the logistics of painting onto that space of wall were planned.


As the walls came down a large board was salvaged which was a suitable shape. There was also the feeling that the re-use of the area we had developed would make the creation process more interesting. The board was placed on the floor and approaching it from different angles the group all contributed to the process of reflecting those themes through paint.
