During Mondays groupwork it became difficult to tie in the nightclub background and the areas many people had investigated with fashion and dress design. As a group we found it difficult to get motivated as many people felt unsure of the final outcome. It was decided to look at everyones sketchbooks in detail to investigate the areas we have all looked at and find some key themes. The areas that immediately became clear were important were the shapes created by the 19th century dresses. This corseted images had been deconstructed in all the groups work. It was suggested we investigate the costume department.We found a dress that was influenced by costumes from the same period we photographed it as evidence of looking at the dresses in Renoir's piece from a 3D approach.
From there we started making the dress creating the folds and design with influences from the time but in a contemporary way which would make the dress attractive to women in the present day.
